Independent Prescribing Optometrist – Dr. Deacon E Harle PhD MSc BSc (Hons) FCOptom DipOC DipTp (AS) DipTp (IP)
Dr Deacon Harle is an Independent Prescribing Specialty Optometrist. He holds a bachelor degree in Ophthalmic Optics, a masters degree in Clinical Optometry and a PhD in Optometry. He has post graduate diplomas in Ocular Conditions and in Ocular Therapeutics (Additional Supply and Independent Prescribing) which means he can offer a more extensive range of ocular medicine advice and supply prescriptions for eye related disorders as a non-medical prescriber. He was awarded a Fellowship of the College of Optometrists for his contribution to optometric research and education and is a General Optical Council specialty registered optometrist. Dr Harle's clinical interests include clinical optometry, ocular therapeutics, anterior eye medical ophthalmology and optometric interventions to headache and head pain.
Dr Harle also holds a post of Practitioner with a Special Interest (PwSI) in Ophthalmology and offers NHS Community Ophthalmology Clinics based at Tunbridge Wells Hospital Eye Department and at Osborne Harle.
Dr Harle is a clinical advisor to the Commissioning Boards and Clinical Policy Group for NHS Kent and Medway and is a member of the Executive Board of the Kent and Medway Comprehensive Local Research Network. He is also the local NHS clinical lead for primary care ophthalmology, chairing the Kent and Medway NHS Ophthalmology Service Improvement Group.
Optometrist - Mrs. Nicola J Harle BSc (Hons) MCOptom
Nicola Harle (neé Osborne) established Osborne Harle and Associates with her husband. Following a period of private practice in Kensington, London where she became interested in contact lenses and spectacle fashion and design, she took a career break when her children were young. She is now back in part time clinical practice.
Mrs Harle holds a Bachelor degree in Ophthalmic Optics, membership of the College of Optometrists and is a General Optical Council registered optometrist.
Dispensing Optician - Miss. Emma Baker FBDO
Mrs Emma Baker is a qualified dispensing optician is part of the Osborne Harle spectacle dispensing team. She brings a wealth of experience to the practice and is able to offer spectacle dispensing advice across the board from high end fashion spectacle frames to complex clinical spectacle lens dispensing queries.
Mrs Baker is a Fellow of the Association of British Dispensing Opticians and is a General Optical Council registered optician.
Dispensing Optician - Mrs. Jackie Neale FBDO
Mrs Jackie Neale is a qualified dispensing optician and has been part of the Osborne Harle and Associates team since the practice opened. She is now at the practice on a part time basis. Mrs Neale has a particular interest in spectacle dispensing for sports and swimming but can give advice on all areas of spectacle dispensing.
Mrs Neale is a Fellow of the Association of British Dispensing Opticians and is a General Optical Council registered optician.
Mrs. Julie Moss
Mrs Julie Moss provides administrative and practical support to the spectacle dispensing team. She will often be the one to first welcome you to the practice either in our dispensing department or at the reception desk.

Mrs Sally Lilley is our part time receptionist providing valuable extra support on our busy days.
